Cumhuriyet Bayramımız kutlu olsun
Bugün takvimde bir sayı değil, bir nefes var. 29 Ekim 1923’te millet, kendi iradesini devletin başına yazdı. Cumhuriyet o günden beri ışığını eksiltmeden duruyor. O, bağımsızlığımızın, özgürlüğümüzün ve geleceğimizin en güçlü güvencesidir. Anlamı büyük, sözü sade: bu ülke, üzerinde yaşayanlarındır. Emek bizim, söz bizim, yarın bizim. Bayram da tam bunun için. Hatırlamak için, gönül rahatlığıyla iyi ki diyebilmek için.
Bu ışığın ardında bir ad var: Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk. Dağınık umudu bir iradede topladı, o iradeyi milletin meclisine taşıdı. Cumhuriyet ilan edildiği gün, aynı çatı altında ilk cumhurbaşkanımız olarak göreve çağrıldı. Bize bıraktığı şey bir unvan değil, emanet. Cumhuriyet onun eseri, bizim yürüdüğümüz yol. Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk ve silah arkadaşları başta olmak üzere, bu toprakları bizlere vatan kılan tüm kahramanlarımızı saygı, minnet ve rahmetle anıyoruz.

Happy Republic Day
Today is more than a number on the calendar. On 29 October 1923 the nation placed its own will at the head of the state, and the Republic has kept its light ever since. It is the strongest assurance of our independence, our freedom, and our future. The meaning is large and the words are simple: this country belongs to the people who live in it. The work is ours, the word is ours, tomorrow is ours. The holiday exists so we can remember that, and say, with a full heart, that we are glad.
Behind this light there is a name: Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk. He gathered a scattered hope into one will, and carried that will into the nation’s assembly. On the day the Republic was proclaimed, he was called, under the same roof, to serve as our first president. What he left us was not a title, but a trust. The Republic is his work, and the road we walk. With respect, gratitude, and mercy, we remember Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and his brothers in arms, and every hero who made these lands our home.
